Dirk Nowitzki for all his talent still has never been fully appreciated for what he can do on the basketball court. Yes, he is considered one of the better players in the NBA, but never talked about like Lebron or Kobe. In the 2011 NBA Finals he has made a statement loud and clear to his critics.
Dirk Nowitzki finally has answered all questions about his abilities and his greatness as a basketball player, questions that were never fair in nature. That is the beast of the NBA, but he took it all in stride. When the Dallas Mavericks need someone to step up it is always Dirk Nowitzki who does it.
Even sick he still performs at a high level. Losing Dirk Nowitzki would kill the Dallas Mavericks as he is the heart and soul of the team. Yes, just like he has before, but now people are finally noticing what everyone already knew he is an elite player just like Kobe and Lebron.
